Tara Loftis

Tara Loftis is a Yale University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s & Gender Studies. She completed pre-med requirements and was on the path to medical school when her lifelong passion for holistic healing ultimately led her on a more unconventional path. She began exploring the connection between mind, body, and spirit through alternative healing modalities, starting with becoming a Reiki practitioner in 2011, which jumpstarted her career as a facilitator of healing work. Since then, she has studied to become a yoga teacher, a plant medicine apprentice, and a certified hypnotist. She now offers healing sessions that integrate the different modalities she has learned along the way.

Tara has been fortunate enough to a life rich with global exploration and personal growth—serving in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic, residing in an ashram in India, living in van while traveling through New Zealand, teaching yoga in Australia and Greece, and apprenticing with a shaman in Ecuador to study plant medicine. She’s also worked in both the corporate worlds and as an entrepreneur, from landing her first job out of college in a corporate retailer in New York to opening her own yoga studio in New Orleans (Nola Yoga Loft), which she eventually sold to focus on a her family real estate business (Reese & Company Real Estate), where she is a partner at the firm. She now runs the business, sells real estate, teaches yoga, sees reiki and hypnotherapy clients, and supports in plant medicine ceremonies.

Her path has been windy and at times uncertain, but each experience has deepened her wisdom and understanding of life’s journey, while simultaneously providing rich personal healing, strengthening her intuition, and giving her a strong foundation from which to facilitate healing for others. Tara believes that personal healing is the key to global transformation, and that when we each do the individual work to heal ourselves, we can and will heal the world.
