Hypnotherapy
"Have you ever wondered why when you have tried to change a habit or behavior it usually resurfaces? This is because our conscious willpower usually cannot compete with the power of the subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind is considered to be the source or root of many of our behaviors, emotions, attitudes and motivations. Hypnosis is believed to be a powerful tool for accessing the subconscious mind and creating dramatic improvements in our lives." (HMI College of Hypnotherapy)

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a safe, effective therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to access the subconscious mind, where lasting change begins. In a deeply relaxed state, you remain fully aware and in control, while your mind becomes more open to positive suggestions and insights. The hypnotic state is a very natural state of being -you pass through it before you go to sleep and when you wake up and more than likely throughout your day.

Hypnotherapy can help you overcome limiting beliefs, release emotional blocks, and create new, empowering patterns of thought and behavior. It is commonly used to support healing in areas such as anxiety, stress, fears and phobias, self-confidence, habits like smoking or overeating, and more.

Whether you're looking to break through mental roadblocks or align more fully with your goals, hypnotherapy offers a powerful path to transformation from within.

What happens in a session?

A 15 minute free consultation is required prior to your session. In this call, we will check in about what your needs are to make sure my services are a good fit.

In our first session, we will go over some of the foundations for hypnosis, so it usually takes a little longer.

Each sessions begins with a deeper conversation to discuss any presenting issues and clarify your goals. You can expect a bit of talk therapy as we explore what is going on and possible root causes. During hypnosis, you'll be gently guided into a deeply relaxed meditative state using calming voice techniques and focused breathing. You will stay fully aware and in control throughout the session—just in a peaceful, meditative state where your subconscious mind is more open to positive change.

Many people experience a hyper-awareness in this state of relaxation where their ability to imagine and visualize is greatly enhanced. It is common to have sensations of deep relaxation, warmth or tingling sensations throughout your physical body. Some describe the hypnotic state as a complete and total escape from all physical tension and emotional stress, while remaining completely alert.

Does virtual hypnosis work if I've never been hypnotized?
Yes. The core of hypnosis is the individual's ability to concentrate and follow the hypnotist's suggestions, not the physical location. Therefore, virtual hypnosis can work effectively even if you've never been hypnotized before. Online hypnosis sessions, whether via video chat or phone, are increasingly common and have proven to be as effective as in-person sessions. In fact, some research suggests that virtual therapy can be even more effective than in-person therapy.

It is also worth noting that I was trained virtually through the HMI College of Hypnotherapy, so actually I am more versed in a virtual setting than in-person.
